During the Second World War Duxford played a prominent role during the Battle of Britain, and In keeping with the site's history many of Duxford's original buildings, such as hangars used during the Battle of Britain, are still in use. Imperial War Museum Duxford houses the museum's large exhibits, including nearly 200 aircraft, military vehicles and artillery.

LEEDS CASTLE

A fantastic family day out awaits at Leeds Castle. This historic landmark has been on the site since 1119. In the 13th century it came into the hands of King Edward I, for whom it became a favourite residence; in the 16th century, Henry VIII used it as a dwelling for his first wife, Catherine of Aragon.
